Customer Reviews
I had a T-bone steak with sweet corn and salad. The steak was good and the buttered corn was excellent. My wife ordered Mama's Fried Chicken House Salad. Unfortunately, the salad didn't contain cucumbers as described, but did have carrots instead. This is problematic for people with allergies, of course. The absolute highlight were the seasoned fries - hot, crispy, and full of flavor. Our waiter, Elijah B., was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and in good condition. Overall, it was great and reasonably priced. See attached receipt.
An adequate meal. I ordered the Brioche French toast and they sent out burnt food. They even had the audacity to place the burnt side down. When I took a bite it tasted burnt. So I flipped it over and saw it was very burnt. So I sent it back and got pancakes. If you’re a cook why send out burnt food? And then try to hide it by flipping it over. Sorry, but as a cook you should know you can’t mask or hide burnt taste/smell.
This Denny’s was a blessing after a very long 10 Hour Rd. trip. However, I specifically asked how many pieces of fish were in the combo and was told five pieces. When We got back to our room at NavajoLand Inn and proceeded to eat, we found there were only three pieces in the meal. This would’ve been fine if they would’ve just told us because I planned on ordering a couple of extra pieces of fish for my husband. I ordered the Cali club combo and it was delicious. The crust of the bread were a bit hard and the seasoned fries were really good even though they were cooled off by the time we had received them. Also important to note they did not include any cutlery in the bag. The broccoli was completely unseasoned, steamed broccoli, and the beer battered onion rings were cooked to perfection.
This is a standard American diner, but the food quality is disappointing. The chicken soup was too salty. The salad had wilted, old tomatoes. The chicken dish we ordered was also oversalted. Everything fried or sautéed had a distinct taste of old oil. The fish we ordered was dry, and they also failed to include the broccoli that was supposed to come with it. The quality of the food is terrible, and it feels like money down the drain. I do not recommend visiting this place. Inside, the tables are old, greasy, and dirty, and there is an unpleasant smell of oil throughout the diner. The overall atmosphere is not good. It tarnishes the reputation of the Denny’s chain, as other diners we’ve visited had much better quality. Here, they don’t seem to care or try to cook well.
We were greeted with a smile, but could not hear the lady. We weren't asked if we had a good day, weren't welcomed, no customer relations. The waitress was unfriendly and quickly took our order. Also, when she took our order she stood behind the chair where i had to turn my body tobface her. She used the chair as a table to write on. I dont know if she was in a hurry, but she has no people relation. For the remainder of the dinner no one checked on us. My tea got cold and was not tended too. I ate without hot tea. I think the server waiter/waitress need training on people relation and how to serve, take orders and check on the customer.
