Denmark Stage Stop House

I stayed here a few weeks back with my uncle to celebrate the remembrance of my father. He always loved moose pond.. We had such a fantastic stay I booked the next weekend to bring my family. Gorgeous property. My daughter loved seeing Deborah's horse Jag. From the eggs she puts in the fridge to the simple gesture of leaving a block of cheese and crackers that you forgot that you wanted to snack on.. Deborah covers all the details. 5 stars does no justice.

We recently found this place when searching for accommodations in the Bridgton Maine area on Google as some of our family lives there and we visit often. Our usual place was closed due to Covid 19 and we now have a new place to call home in the area. ||||We are so happy to have found it!! Not only are the accommodations clean THEY ARE IMMACULATE!! We have an 8 month old and are usually concerned since young children spend so much time on the floor but not here. From the moment we walked in we could tell just how clean it was.||||Beyond the cleanliness these accommodations provide everything you need. The comfort level and welcomeness are top of the line. We have stayed in the cabin at Denmark Stage Stop House 3 or 4 times for a couple nights at a time. The management does an incredible job of making guests feel welcome - clean, well stocked, everything you need to enjoy your stay in Maine. The cabin sleeps 3 very comfortably and 4 without trouble. We arrive to fresh eggs in the fridge, coffee to brew, and all the amenities of home. The ice cream stand next door is just an awesome perk! Can recommend WITHOUT RESERVATION.

I stayed at the Denmark Stage stop for a few months and it was the worst place I ever stayed. I was not aloud to put the heat higher then 70 degrees and if I did owner would call me and get all upset. Or she would just lower it in the middle of the night to 65 degrees. She controls everything with her phone and she lets you know that. She knows when you go out and when you come home. She has cameras all over the place. I even think she has one inside the cottage. There are a lot of nicer places in Maine to stay. She has two places that she rents. One is under her house and the other one is twenty feet from the road. You here the trucks racing by all night long if one loses control and hits the cottage you will definitely get hurt. Maine is a great place I love it there.

It’s great if you have things to do during the day. It is very clean, but not tidy - we really struggled to find places to keep our things for all of the decor and “stuff” everywhere. Every surface is covered with items. There were way too many towels in the bathroom! The bathtub is the shower - there are 3-4 plastic shower curtains that stick to the poor soul in the shower. It was 85 degrees, but there were numerous blankets and comforters - no place to put them, but the floor.||The main road is, literally, 25’ from the place, so road
