Deluxe 1717

Deluxe 1717 is our restaurant of choice anytime my I and/or my husband are in the area (we live 70 miles away, or else we’d be there all the time)! We even went there for brunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary after attending service in the church where we got married in LA – sure, there are tons of great LA options we could have gone with, but there is something extra special about Deluxe. The food is beyond excellent, with a varied and creative menu. The wine list is unique and offers great pairing options. The service is always friendly and attentive. Thanks for hosting us today Joanna! We went vegetarian today. Asian Caesar salad, Cuban bowl, and a cheese empanada for a side dish. Basque cake for dessert. Even though these choices are from opposite sides of the world, the chef pulled it off perfectly! Tasty and healthy lunch 😁 Btw, you can optionally add protein to both the salad and the Cuban bowl

Came here on a Thursday, got seated right away. We ordered the Asian Caesar salad, Cuban bowl, Bolivian empanada, and Basque cheesecake for dessert. Amazingly, all the different flavors worked well. Everything was fresh and delicious. Our server, Joanna, took good care of us. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

It’s our first time dining in this restaurant but they have been in this area of Pasadena for three years. The brunch menu is pretty solid. The crab omelette special was very delicious. The Cubano sandwich and everything bagel avocado toast are not to be missed. The staff was very patient and accommodating; they even offered stuff to calm our crying baby.

The food was unbelievably fresh and the service was outstanding. I came with a party of 5. We all said we would come back in a heartbeat. The quiches were flavorful and flaky. My Greek salad was not a traditional Greek salad, more like a deconstructed one. It was fantastic. This is my new go to spot. So happy I took a chance. You should too! You will not be disappointed. I can guarantee that!
