Delta's Restaurant

I recently visited Delta’s Restaurant in New Brunswick, NJ, and it definitely delivers when it comes to atmosphere and overall vibe. The space is very nice and feels upscale, especially the upstairs area, which has a great energy and feels perfect for a night out. It is the kind of place you go not just to eat, but for the full experience. The service was quick, and everything came out in a timely manner. That said, the restaurant does automatically include a 20 percent gratuity, and you can sometimes feel that the attentiveness is a little less sharp because of the guaranteed tip. I used to visit Delta's often as a teenager with my family and loved it then and decided to visit as an adult and let me tell you I made the right decision! Food, staff, music and atmosphere were all amazing and I enjoyed every single moment there. I will definitely be visiting again and have already told a lot of my friends from out of state they have to make a trip and try this fantastic restaurant out!

Love that this place is black owned, BUT the mandatory $8 per person for ‘entertainment’ is a bit bizarre. The entertainment was the DJ. AUTOMATIC…. 20% gratuity added for average service. Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Delta’s. I must say that I came to this restaurant with no knowledge of them or referral. I saw the website when I searched restaurants in New Brunswick. I was visiting the area and wanted a good soul food spot. This restaurant had everything that I look for when picking a restaurant. Happy hour, music, good food, entrées, etc. When we arrived, it was after brunch, which was OK because we still wanted the food. When we entered, there was live music being played by the DJ. Came here this Wednesday with my brother. The hostess, extremely rude and impatient. Almost made me turn around and walk out but I heard about the food so I gave it a try. My server Kaylyn very nice and attentive. She was probably The best part of my dinner. The food although served hot at a decent pace was lazy. Not much love in the Rodizio nor the sides. The meats lacked seasoning, as well as the greens and yams. Mac and cheese was good nothing special. The henny sangria was SLAP but was a little light on the henny. Portions were good so I’ll give them that. Might be back for a brunch to give this place one more try. Beautiful restaurant with wonderful ambience just needs a little more attention to detail.
