I've seen the insides of many hospitals and medical centers as a healthcare professional and as a patient, and -- hands down -- Delta County Memorial Hospital (Delta Health) is a solid five stars!!! I was treated with the utmost respect and compassion while a patient just recently; every staff member from the Lab to ED to MedSurg to Radiology to Nuke Med to the Stress Lab to Food Services to Case Management was highly knowledgeable, very caring, and exceptionally skilled. A big shout out to the following: Dr. Murphey, Torey, and Cheryl in ED (Wow! These folks know their stuff -- and are incredibly compassionate as well); Christine in Radiology (brightened the room when she walked in); Emily and Evelyn on the night shift AND Anna and Hailey on days on MedSurg (in fact, everyone on MedSu

I brought my child to the ER for uncontrollable vomiting, and the experience was extremely concerning and unsafe. During triage, my child began choking on vomit and turning red, but staff did not intervene, leaving me to manage the situation alone. Later, in a room, my child vomited again, turning purple, and again I was left to handle it by myself. At one point, a staff member handed me a syringe with medication and walked away without explaining what it was. The doctor later dismissed my concerns, suggesting it was “probably the flu” after a quick look at the throat, and even laughed when I asked if the redness could be from prolonged vomiting. Billing department is incompetent. Doctors are just as bad. I had a wellness check - the nurse checked my blood pressure; the doctor didn't check anything, just asked me how I was feeling. My old doctor in a state with actual health care always listened to my heart, lungs, checked lymph nodes, examined ears, nose and throat, and other things I won't go into. I asked for a blood test, which was over $600 before "discounts", and I am still trying get that bill corrected - they can't even process EOB's correctly. And it is true most doctors aren't taking new patients; the only ones that are taking new patients have terrible reviews by their patients. I may move because of the lack of good healthcare around here. FOLLOWUP: I went into the hospital, and the billing people were pleasant, helpful

I would like to express my gratitude to Delta Health Hospital Med Surg, my mother was in the hospital for 3 days and your team gave her excellent care ! She is 94 and y'all made her feel safe and took excellent care of her, Dr Call is wonderful and cared for her well being. The nurses and aids were great. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. We have a excellent hospital in Delta Co. It was a little rough in the ER , but they had a lot going on when we took her in the ambulance , thank you to them as well. I'm very grateful ! You guys Rock !!! The Er Dr was great and showed concern for my Mom ,thank you Sir.
