Delight's Ghanaian Cuisine

My first time trying this particular restaurant. I have had African food at a couple of other places in other cities but wanted to try Fufu bread. So I ordered a side of that with the chicken and veggie stew and the pineapple beetroot ginger juice drink. The drink was absolutely fabulous! The stew was good, and very spicy. I was not aware it would be so spicy hot but that's okay I like spicy so that was all good. It was just a little greasy for my taste. Foo foo bread is an experience in and of itself is all I can say LOL you're supposed to eat it with your hands and use it to make little Scoops to eat the stew call my however the texture was too sticky for me to feel comfortable handling it with my hands so I asked for a spoon and used that instead to scoop off little bits of the bread an

OMG, let me just say this first….. I am a food critique, and it is hard to impress me. But DELIGHT….SHESSSH! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance wrapped us up, the warm greeting, complete with the biggest, most genuine smile, set the tone immediately. This was my first-ever experience with Ghanaian food, and whew it surpassed any expectation! Every bite was a celebration. The flavors literally danced on my tongue. I order from this restaurant through DoorDash and this will be my last time. Today a lady called me from the restaurant saying that they didn’t have the $20 size small tilapia fish which is on their menu but they have a $25 fish. They said to pay the $5 through Zelle or cash app, so I proceeded to do that thinking the size of the fish would be bigger. Once the food was delivered to me the fish was the same size as previous orders and to make matters worse the fufu had a smashed up dead bug inside of it. This order just left a bad taste in my mouth and I won’t be ordering from this restaurant again. Oh my God!!!! This place is wonderful the owner is so sweet and she can cook!!! I only had the egusi stew but I will be back for more! I mad I can’t finish the rest of my food, but I’m glad I have some for later❤️
