Delano Homestead Bed & Breakfast

We had a lovely stay at Delano house and certainly will come back if we’re in the area. Tracy, the housekeeper was delightful and so accommodating to make us feel right at home (and provided a very satisfying breakfast). The history of the space, cozy rooms, and atmosphere make it a perfect couple getaway.

If you are into quaint, historic, welcoming, and unique, this is your place. Paul has done an outstanding job assembling just the right furniture, decorations, and conveniences to make your time unforgettable in this homestead. And perhaps "homestead" is the right way to think about this. It is not a modern hotel. It is decorated the way that one's grandparents or great-grandparents, or wealthy granduncle, would have done in their home had they had the resources to do so. The blankets, the high beds, the cabinets - all take you back to a very different time and place. You may even be able to turn off your iPhone for a while, to take it all in. We also enjoyed the wonderful breakfast that the innkeeper made for us in the dining room, which is also something that needs to be examine

A home away from home! Some of the B&Bs I have stayed in are beautiful but not warm/inviting.. this place was both. Great location, beautiful grounds and outstanding hosts ( my sister and I could have talked to Lisa (host) and Paul ( owner) all day! We will be back! Thank you!!

I LOVED my stay here! I had a wedding this past weekend and needed somewhere to stay. I stumbled on the Delano, and I'm so happy I did. The history, the home, the area is so special. I felt welcomed, and I loved exploring every part of the house. My room was amazing. I stayed for three nights, and felt right at home. I had never stayed at a b&b. It was close to the waterfront, as well as the library donated by Mark Twain! I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to really get the historic Fairhaven experience. It made the whole weekend unforgettable. Thank you to the host, John and Tracy who were incredible. I took photos of it that I posted on social media and will share here.

This Homestead is a rare find these days. A beautiful Historic home on a quiet side street, with only 3 rooms that are Guest quarters, it feels very cozy and warm. You enjoy breakfast in the formal dining room after choosing from, a variety of hot and cold items which are presented on the Kitchen island. Coffee, Tea, Fresh fruit and snacks are available anytime. ||The house is spotlessly maintained. Lisa the Innkeeper, full of energy and enjoyable to talk to, gave us a warm Welcome and showed us the amenities then brought us to our beautiful, sun filled and spacious room, The Warren. Our private bathroom, tub and shower, was just the next door over. The Bed was amazingly comfortable and linens luxurious.
