Deja Vu Restaurant

My wife and I were driving from San Diego to far northern CA, and our route took us through Redding at lunchtime. Kismet. Fate. Fortune. Wife checks Google and says “Let’s try Deja Vu. Great ratings.” When I walked in I fell in love with the place. So beautiful. So much fun being had by all. Add to that a fantastic menu and a fun loving staff, and suddenly I got the urge to move to Redding. By the time I finished my “Bill’s Special” I had to tell my waitress that it was the best breakfast I have had in my life, and I’m 75!!! I really want to move to Redding just to eat here. Very generous portions, very reasonably priced, beautifully plated, served by an enthusiastic wait staff who were all happy and proud to be working there. If I could buy a star, I would buy 5 and give this place 1

This was a really cute breakfast place. The staff were great, and the restaurant decor was very welcoming and fun. The food was all good, especially the omelets. I loved all the different options, and it was hard to choose. I eventually settled on the one with pastrami, mushrooms, onions, cheese, and bell peppers (I forgot the name of it). It was definitely worth it! I was also pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the biscuit. It was really good. The only thing negative was that there was very little parking, and we eventually had to find parking on the street.

The food is very good, the service as well. A little noisy but most restaurants in Redding are. Waiting time on average 5-20 minutes but there is seating in the entrance. Overall good place to go.

Great food! Great price! Husband had the berries & lavender mimosa - loved it! I had the Bloody Mary omg so amazing! So much food too, we weren’t expecting to get such big plates with so much food! I had the chicken fried steak- fried eggs, husband had the Déjà vu omelette. Both of us had potatoes on the side. I opted for toast & hubby got the pancakes. He had 3 pancakes that were about 6 inches wide. I also had a cappuccino Total was about $60 With the amount of food I would have expected to pay $90-100 especially in California.

My friend and I often come here mainly because their breakfast is so yummy. The customer service has been hit or miss for us but we went this morning and Marina served us and she was so nice and kind! My friend and I really appreciated her attentiveness and interactions and thought she deserved a little shout out! Thank you Marina for a great breakfast and service :)
