I’m really disappointed with how this restaurant has been lately. It used to offer great food and good service, but unfortunately that’s no longer the case. First, the wait time was unacceptable. I ordered mutton biryani through Grubhub and arrived at the restaurant 25 minutes later for pickup. Despite that, I had to wait an additional 25 minutes. The staff at the reception seemed disorganized and unsure of what they were doing. I had to ask three to four different people about my order before anyone responded. Second, the food quality and portion were very disappointing. The mutton biryani barely had any meat — just four small pieces — and it was mostly rice. I paid $21 and waited around 30 minutes only to receive a plate that didn’t justify the price. The restaurant really needs to im
I tried mutton biryani, nihari, and marag, and all of them were very spicy for me, but I honestly loved it. Even though the heat was intense, the food was extremely flavorful, which made the spice feel enjoyable rather than overwhelming. The spices didn’t just burn; they added depth and richness to each dish, making every bite exciting.
Recently visited Deccan Grill after hearing some good reviews. The place has a huge dining space and is completely self-serve, you pick up your own plates, spoons, water, etc. We ordered: • Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani – $18.99 • Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani – $14.99 • Chicken 65 – $12.99 The mutton biryani was good with well-cooked, tender pieces. The chicken biryani, however, was very light and lacked flavor, almost no masala at all. The Chicken 65 was okay, but the excess food coloring was a turn-off. Overall, it wasn’t a very satisfying experience. Sharing some pictures from our visit.
Ordered the Deccan Special and Mutton Haleem with Chicken 65. Both were decent and tasted good. They were well-cooked, and had nice flavors. Overall, a good spot if you’re craving haleem, and I’d recommend this place.
Waiting for 45mins and we Ordered the Family Pack Goat Biryani, but was really disappointed. The portion size was very small and had only a few pieces of meat — definitely not enough for a family pack. The taste was okay, but the quantity didn’t match what was promised. Not worth the price.
