Decadent, a Coffee and Dessert Bar

We love Decadent and go there often with my kids. We’ve been loyal customers since they opened in 2020. I went with my kids last night for gelato and really appreciate the convenience of being able to enjoy an adult beverage as well. I ordered an IPA, but I was given half a glass filled mostly with foam. The server said, “If you want, when the foam goes down, I will refill it.” I waited, but when I went back for the refill, I was told she had gone on break. If she knew she was about to go on break, I don’t understand why she couldn’t have poured the rest of the beer into another glass before leaving. I ended up waiting 20–30 minutes (since my kids were playing), and when I finally got the refill, it was just a small top-off — with no apology or acknowledgment. It’s not about the money bu

Has potential for greatness, but lacking quality. First, better menu for espresso drinks. Simple macchiato or Cortado is not on menu. NEEDS real mugs/glassware when dining in. I was given a full to go cup for a double espresso. A espresso macchiato confused the staff and was served in a to go cup even when dining in. On the plus side the espresso quality was good. Do not sell beans if the container has no “roasted date”. Next, gelato is really not good. Tastes like generic ice cream. Needs to totally change. Also needs more classic gelato flavors like hazelnut. Pastries look good and are said to be made fresh, but cafe doesn’t smell like a bakery at all. Makes me doubt their freshness. It’s my first visit and definitely will not be the last. This place is so much fun with yummy beverages, freshly baked desserts, homemade Gelato and superb customer service. I had a large (16 oz) Authentic Italian Hot Chocolate. A staff later asked me if I wanted whip cream and marshmallows. It was so tasty!! Everyone behind the counter was super friendly and the operation was efficient despite the long line. Highly recommend it!

It was amazing! I was told about this gem from a friend who lives in Clarksville(I live annapolis). Everything was amazing and freshly made with high source ingredients, I know because I usually can't have dense - dough type of pastries and I was able to eat everything no problem;(for reference I got the almond butter toast, coffee cake, pecan cinnamon roll, and cannolis.) I wish took pictures everything was also beautifully made

I've heard great things about the desserts here and I finally was able to pop in to try them out. The whole atmosphere was coffee bar lounge and not dessert, so it seemed to be that the desserts were an afterthought instead of the focus of this establishment. They serve wine too if that's your thing. I took home an assortment of desserts. They score high points on decorations and presentation, but I place more emphasis on the actual taste and found these desserts to be just average. By all means they'll pair well with a coffee or wine while you're lounging, but I think the desserts are not on the same level as other bakeries in the area that focus just on the sugary goods.
