We had an amazing experience at Dean’s Steak & Seafood, and I truly appreciate how professionally everything was handled. We originally booked the Globe Igloo experience, but when we arrived they had some delay and it wasn’t warm as expected. The manager immediately stepped in, handled the situation with such kindness and professionalism, and moved us inside to make sure we were comfortable. On top of that, they generously took the bill on the house, which honestly meant a lot and showed how much they care about their guests. The staff overall was wonderful, and our waitress was absolutely amazing—attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. When I first saw the breakfast menu, I was a little disappointed, but my experience completely changed once I stepped inside. The restaurant has a wonderfully cozy and comfortable atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. The food was truly excellent across the board. I was particularly surprised by the breakfast steak—I didn't expect it to be so delicious! We also tried the eggs benedict and the yogurt; the quality of every dish was top-notch. Even the coffee stood out with great taste and a rich flavor profile. What made our visit even better was the service. Owen took great care of us; he was incredibly attentive, professional, and friendly, making us feel very welcome throughout the meal. I am so impressed with how this classy establishment treated me! All the bartenders are accommodating, attentive. And let me add that Alex makes THE BEST Clover Club cocktail! That is my cocktail of choice, and I have had many from many different places from San Diego to Colorado and now Texas. Dean’s restaurant is also top notch! I had the bone marrow, which was fabulous. The baja bass is amazing also with their yummy corn sauce! Even the bread with butter is fantastic-They put flaky salt on top of the whipped butter. Eric, my server was so personable and made my dining an experience. Absolutely fabulous! All the flavors in their dishes have layers and are multi-dimensional. So we came here to san antonio and decided to stay at the hotel this restaurant is located in. We are just simple country folks and decided to come out to the city life to celebrate my spouses birthday weekend. When we walked in just t-shirt and blue jeans I felt under dressed but I tell you what. This place has an amazing atmosphere about it. The waiters treated us like we were important city folks. Explained everything. Jordan was our main waiter and he was very helpful and awesome kept our glasses full and gave great recommendations. Decided to try a new spot and enjoyed a beautiful anniversary meal at Dean’s! The interior is gorgeous and swanky, with the exposed mahogany beams and original walls of the 1800s German schoolhouse taking our breath away. Our reservation was near 7pm, and though there were other diners and usual restaurant din, the space was the right level of quiet for dinner conversations. We were immediately seated in a large but intimate half-circle booth and offered menus bound in soft leather.
