Dead End Bakehouse - 6th & Boardwalk

I’ve always loved Dead End Bakehouse on Bay Ave, however was always disappointed with the 45+ wait times for bagels. The boardwalk location did not have this issue! We enjoyed CYO bagel sandwiches and coffees a few mornings recently - both a weekend day and a weekday and service was quick and friendly. The eggs on the bagels were fabulous! We did miss the salt bagels from Bay Ave, but the cheddar bagels were equally yummy!

I’m currently on vacation in Ocean City for two weeks and was really looking forward to a good bagel and coffee. I specifically wanted a toasted salt bagel with cream cheese, but was disappointed when the person taking my order told me they don’t sell salt bagels. Even though it’s clearly listed on their website. That was misleading and frustrating. I ended up ordering a plain bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. Unfortunately, the cheese wasn’t even a proper slice. It looked like American cheese slime that wasn’t melted properly. Not appetizing at all. What also bothered me was the lack of confidence from the staff. Every time I ordered something, they kept having to ask each other if they even had it. It didn’t feel like they knew their own menu. Fantastic spot with some indoor seating if you’d like to be out of the sun. But there’s nothing better than a great bagel and a smooth iced coffee while looking at the ocean. Cheesesteak bagel sandwich was delish!

Bagels are fine. Staff is miserable. Ambiance is almost worse (in the wasteland that used to be wonderland). Stay away!
