De real ting chicken was good but spicy. Rice is spicy. They were out of the down south fried chicken. Out of non spicy Jamaican beef patties. Have an extremely short happy hour from 6pm to 7pm on friday. But its a cultural experience to try new foods and seasonings. The plantains were ok. I've had a sweeter plantain, these here tasted more like a potato. The strawberry hill with Hennessey was disappointing. When I saw strawberry puree I thought it would be a sweeter drink. Still giving this place 4 stars cause the service was good and the food despite being spicy was good. Live music on friday nights but get there before 8pm as parking can be a challenge without walking a bit.

Myself and a friend visited yesterday 9-26-2025. I saw online the buffett was supposedly 11.00$ plus drink. When we got there it was oxtail fridays. So, the buffett was now 18.99 no problem. As I walked to the buffett and looked at the selection. The plantain were soft as mashed potatoes and looked sad. The peas in the rice and peas were half white. The yellow rice had dark pieces of rice. I went to check the oxtail pot. (Bones) all the meat was gone the pot was hot and filled with gravy and bones. How can they expect us to pay 20$ for an oxtail buffet with oxtail bones? Thank goodness we looked before we ate. I was filled with disgust! I've been in jacksonville since 2007 this was my fist visit (2025). I will never return.

Great venue for music on Friday night. Great food and reasonable price. Muzt try the fish stew. Took a look long time, but it was cooked fresh. Friendly Staff.

Friday Nights are the Best, some of the best live bands in the City, Like "Dats Pressure", "Heart Of Elaine" and others perform out on the street, the atmosphere and vibes are great, and the food is Top Tier Caribbean Cuisine!!!

Absolutely love this spot! Food is always delicious and the service is top tier. I treat myself on the weekends with their jerk chicken meal, but I need to try the peach cobbler so I will be there during the week. Also their Calypso is the bomb!
