Excellent fresh delicious food, very friendly lady owner. One of the best eateries in SF. I wish the place was a bit nicer looking as it is gloomy. They offer take away and delivery. Highly recommended.

Sashi Singh my pal from down in Stillwater Canyon was in the city and invited me to dinner in this Afghani Restaurant he found. Well, I haven't had camel hump in years, so I said sure! We met up at De Afghanan Kabob House and had a great dinner. I have no idea what we ate because Sashi ordered for us, all I know is it wasn't organ meat, and it tasted pretty good. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

De Afghanan Kabob House in San Francisco is a hidden gem offering rich, flavorful Afghan cuisine in a cozy setting. We visited as a family and were impressed by the tender kabobs, freshly baked bread, and aromatic rice. The portions were generous, and the food felt truly homemade. The staff were friendly and the service was quick, even during a busy evening. Tip: The place is small with limited seating, so consider arriving early or getting takeout. If you’re looking for authentic Afghan flavors in the city, this spot is definitely worth trying!

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience at this restaurant. After eating the food, I developed throat irritation and discomfort, which made me feel that the food was not healthy or safe. The overall food quality felt poor, and it seemed that basic health and food safety standards were not properly followed. This kind of food can potentially make customers sick, which is very concerning. I expected much better attention to food quality and customer health. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning.

Recommended to me by my taxi driver. I went at around 1:30pm on a Thursday. Was immediately greeted by a polite woman behind the counter. I told her my dietary restrictions and she recommended the beef and chicken kabob combo and gave me extra salad instead of rice. The kabobs were tender and the dipping sauce was savory with a hint of spice. Diced cucumber and tomato salad paired well with the meat.
