DC Vegan

I am rarely unimpressed by a restaurant in DC. Especially a vegan restaurant Also because I have recently tried another vegan restaurant in DC that was exceptional whereas this did not live up to the expectations. I had been wanting to try DC vegan for a while. We arrived at our reservation early and were immediately seated which i appreciate- The trumpet mushroom calamari was great and so was the focaccia bread We were highly disappointed with the chicken parm sandwich -the plant based chicken felt undercooked as if not properly thawed - not sure- it wasn’t crispy either I say this with a lot of experience with plants based chicken as it needs to be thoroughly cooked. It was also bland so I had to ask for hot sauce to give it a kick. Considering service- they seemed understaffed and n

Thank you Erick and your co-worker for a wonderful service. We were looking for a vegan place to eat. We needed to set up a reservation. We called and Erick picked up. When we got there, he received us and made us feel like we were regular clients. We ordered Chick'n Parm with fries and Eggplant Parm with side salad. Even our son who is a picky eater ate the Chicken Parm. I would definitely recommend DC Vegan. On Saturday nights, parking is free (please confirm with them once you park)

A friend and I decided to drive down from RI to DC to see the Flaming Lips for New Years Eve. My friend is vegan, I am not. I have no problem accommodating my vegan friend so I searched Vegan restaurants when we got to the area and this particular restaurant popped up. We probably got there at about 230 on a Wednesday so I can't vouch for how it may seem during their "busier" hours (ie Fri, Sat) That being said, the person who took our order was very friendly and offered many suggestions! As a Non-vegan, I have no complaints for the food I ate! Especially the potato skins! My vegan friend was very happy as well! I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent order was completely unacceptable. When I opened the container, the food looked nothing like what I ordered. Instead of a properly prepared dish, it looked like a pile of scraps thrown together at the last minute. Portions were uneven, and the overall presentation was messy and unappetizing. The food looked nothing like what was advertised — it literally looked like no effort was put into presentation or accuracy. For a restaurant that I have visited numerous times over the past 3 years AND most recently ordered out twice in the past week, this was a huge letdown. No customer care and accountability to provide quality food or service. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, because customers deserve better than poorly assembled

Super delicious food!! We explored lots of fancy restaurants in DC but this place the restaurant where we enjoyed the most. All the items in the menu are exquisite and so delicious. Different from other vegan place, the food is very authentic and can feel the care and love. There are also great selections of desserts. We will revisit again very soon!
