Stopped by here after a (failed) excursion (too windy) on Long Pong and grabbed some coffee and a donut. Obviously a long standing hub of the community, this place is a gem. From lake memorabilia, to gas, booze, sandwiches, and more, if they don’t have it, you probably don’t need it.

We tried the cafe behind the store. To crowded, loud, and people in line over by the bar was just about sitting on our table. We received our appetizer and drinks, and ordered our meals. An hour went by and our waitress came back and asked if we had ordered..lol. she checked her tablet and found our food had been packed up and sitting the whole time. Poor experience for us and most likely will not return.

Day’s Store is hands down one of the most charming general stores in all of Maine. From the moment you walk in, the friendly and helpful staff make you feel like family. Their selection of baked goods is absolutely fantastic, and the barbecue chicken pizza? Easily the best I’ve ever had. The variety here is impressive—fresh produce, frozen foods, and plenty of organic options, making it easy to find something for everyone. They also have a great selection of cozy sweatshirts and sweatpants with “Belgrade Lakes, Maine” branding, perfect for souvenirs or gifts. And the best part? The lakeside seating. The best cheese bread I’ve ever had!! I had it a year ago while on vacation and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I’ve been searching for anything like it but nothing compared. Finally after a year of longing, I have 2 loaves of cheese heaven! I’m so happy!
