Dawn Donuts

I have been coming here since 2020 and its hard not to come back. Every time I stop in, I tend to pickup a Sausage, Cheese and Jalapeño kolache and donut holes. Mr. Chris tends to give more than a Bakers Dozen whenever I pick up donut holes, which is always a delight. The donut holes here are also larger than most of his competitors and even the sausage in the kolache are larger. In my opinion, this is a great small business with character.

This shop has the absolute BEST apple fritter!! Especially if you’re able to get it when he just made them, had me in a chokehold for a while lol. And the customer service is great!

Chris is the best. Got some doughnut holes with my order. Kolaches are delicious and will stop by each time I have an event nearby. Also the old man in the back also greeted me. Great bc customer service.

Absolutely loved this place! Has an authentic hometown feel. These donuts were impressively high quality; natural strawberry icing, excellently fried, great cake density, and very good boudins. The owner and son were super nice and seemed like they enjoy working together. It's also very clean, easy to get to by bus, and has free parking.

I’ve passed by Dawn Donuts plenty of times, but today was my first time stopping in. These are easily the best donuts I’ve had in Houston. They stick to the classics, but everything tastes fresh and genuinely good. They also serve Vietnamese coffee, which was a nice surprise. The service was great too. The owner offered complimentary donut holes while I looked over the options and even added a couple extras to my order. This is definitely going to be my go-to spot from now on.
