Dave's Hot Chicken

Right now, as I sit in Dave’s Hot Chicken in Glen Burnie, I’m almost done eating- and right now the back of my eyeballs are vibrating, my nose is running, the top of my head is sweating and I’m SO HAPPY! Yes, hot means hot. 🥵. Thank God for pickles and free refills for soda. I walked in, having never been here before - never had Dave’s. The young lady behind the counter was not much help, but I figured out what I wanted. They had the food done fast and I got started. Hotness did not undue the depth of the seasoning and the taste of the chicken. It was the kind of hot that hurts, but that you can’t stop! You have to keep going. I love that feeling with food. The place is clean and has an upbeat vibe to it! The counter service was excellent! Since it was my first time at a Dave’s, Katherine explained the menu etc. She was very professional, polite and knowledgeable about what’s on the menu! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I had the hot tenders there’s two more levels of hot above that. The tenders are extra large and moist! I don’t know about others but let me tell you my mouth was burning. I usually can take hot food, but my tongue was scorching, 🔥 they made my nose run, and I sneezed several times. I suggest using the pure honey as a dripping sauce. I thought the hot tenders with the sweet honey tasted delicious!!! Overall a great dinner experience!

My bf and I have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally stopped by a few nights ago. We weren’t even sure it was open because it was so empty. We walked in and were greeted by the friendliest guy at the register. The place was spotless with the neatest ambiance/ decor. We both got the meal with the slider and chicken tender. Those chicken tenders were GIGANTIC. I ended up eating the slider, which was the size of a full size sandwich and fries and took the tender (on toast) home for later. The fries were so crunchy and the chicken had great flavor. I got the extra hot which wasn’t too spicy. My bf got regular hot. We both enjoyed it and will be back. They also gave lots of pickes and Dave’s sauce which was also super yummy. 😋

This was the first Dave’s Hot Chicken location I tried. DHC is my #1 spicy chicken sandwich spot. I’ve been to about 3 and their location and they are very consistent. I get the same great tasting sandwich every time at every location. The sandwiches are always coated well with seasoning regardless of the spice level you choose. I love how they batter and fry their chicken. The seasoned fries are top-tier, especially when you top them off with nacho cheese. The staff at this location is always friendly and very fast at getting your order in and out to you. Definitely give this place a try for one of the best and most consistent spicy chicken sandwiches. Chesapeake VA location. We have been here before and I see the same issue where there is a ton of cooks in the kitchen and one person doing the cash, customer service, and running food. Totally not fair for her but she ran circles around everyone else. The first time we went the food was perfect and last night my son got mild and I got light mild (like I did the first time) but some idiot in the kitchen decided to put scorching hot on both instead. If you get take out please check your order before you leave or you’ll be screwed over like we were. I contacted management and their pathetic response was This is Alexa from Dave's Hot Chicken.
