Dave's Hot Chicken

I placed an online order and arrived at the time it was supposed to be ready. I understood it might take a little longer since this location is still new, and that’s fine. However, after waiting 15 minutes past the expected time, the screen indicated that my order was ready, so I went to the counter. As soon as I got to the counter, the employee handing out orders turned away and ignored me as if I wasn’t there. Eventually, we made eye contact, and I was told that my order was not ready even though it was marked as ready on the screen. I was then told it would be another five minutes, in addition to the 15 extra minutes I had already waited. At that point, I realized this location seems to prioritize DoorDash orders and customers who order at the counter. My order was nothing complicated

As a senior citizen, I had to see what all the hype was about regarding Dave’s Hot Chicken. Since the Federal Way location was celebrating its grand opening today, I decided to give it a try. As expected with any grand opening, there was a line to get in and another to order. The restaurant has a very open layout with a "graffiti vibe" painted across the walls and ceiling. The facility provides plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy your meal. The Food While there is a lot of talk about the "Reaper" spice level, I had no desire to "die" today! I ordered Dave’s #3 (one tender and one slider with fries) along with a strawberry lemonade slushie. The tender is served with sliced bread, pickles, and Dave’s sauce, while the slider comes with kale slaw, pickles, and sauce. I chose to tes

since they only been open for few days. the wait was 30 min in line 20 min for the food. didn't feel that long. the food was worth the wait for me ill be coming back for the crispy cauliflower sandwich to try next time.

I have to say that the staff was amazing, friendly, and I had went the day before and there was over an hour. Wait and the staff handled it. Great. They didn't let the customers get to them that were complaining. They got all the orders out. As they came in granite, there was a long line also going out the door but the staff did amazing. The Chicken Sandwich was the best I'd ever had, so I went back the next day because it was so good. I had ordered the sandwiches and also got the loaded Mac and cheese. And it's not like I live close, so I had to drive a 1/2 an hour there.\n And when I got home and opened the loaded Mac and cheese, I was in shock honestly to pay $16. And it was mostly got mail. Long line, as expected for a new opening. Picked up some lunch to go. My go-to order for any hot chicken place is always a sandwich and a tender. I typically order the sandwich at the second-hottest level and the tender at the hottest they will go; in this case, Reaper. After picking up my food it was about 15 minutes for me to get home. The fry on the chicken was great, awesome crunch and the chicken was juicy. The slider first: Sauce complimented the chicken well and the slaw gave it a great balance without making the whole ensemble a dripping mess. At the Extra Hot level it was quite enjoyable, not too spicy for me, it did not cause any sweating or tears. The tender comes second. I dip into the provided sauce.
