D'avant Bakery

D’Avant Bakery is a standout in an area already rich with Korean bakeries. With popular names like Paris Baguette and Tous Les Jours nearby, it takes a lot to distinguish yourself, and D’Avant manages to do exactly that. Their cakes and drinks are a step above the usual chain offerings, with more balanced flavors and better overall quality. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the freshness and attention to detail. The place was packed with people when we visited, which says something about how much the community appreciates it. The atmosphere brought back personal memories for me of migrating to the United States and missing Korean style cakes and treats like 꽈배기, the twisted red bean donut. American cakes tend to be overwhelmingly sweet, but Korean French style baking has it

Excellent bakery. Expect higher end pricing with the delicious pastries and coffee 🤩. Service team was excellent, thank you 🙏🏼. Nice sitting areas that could get crowded. Good thing was high turnover with reasonable wait time. Will revisit 😋

We came with my family of seven, and the total came out to around $86, which felt pretty reasonable for the quality and variety. This is one of those bakeries you have to come back to. There are way too many must try options, even though you know you probably shouldn’t try them all. The place is super popular, so seating fills up fast even though there’s a good amount of space. The drinks are solid, no complaints there. Five out of five, would absolutely recommend. My favorite was the chocolate pastry covered in matcha so good !!! Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can literally see pastries coming in and out nonstop.

There are many Korean bakeries in NJ, but this bakery is far the best one! I tried first time in the summer while I visited my brother and came back. We tried many varieties and loved all; chestnut loaf bread, black cheese bread, thousand layer pastry, milk bread and Soboro red bean/ matcha bread. Can’t wait to come back to try other cakes in the near future.

Bakery that is better, according to the fam, than many others - they particularly enjoyed the double choco pastry and the thousand layer pastry loaf. They were in and out and ate it so fast that I couldn't get a good picture! Parking a bit tight here in the back. Best to have compact cars. The garlic ham bread... just so-so. Sweet buns are better here.
