This is one of our favorite restaurants! Everything was fantastic... maybe the stars were aligned, but the food, service and atmosphere were all top notch. The oysters were some of the best we've ever had. The flavor and crispy cheese topping... awesome!! We had bread pudding for desert and could have invited 2 or 3 other to share... it was a huge and delicious!! We will be back!!

If you like “ Golden Corral” quality food then this is the place for you. I was highly disappointed in it. Ordered the Fish Orleans. The cream sauce was a water based cream sauce and was not good at all, and the rice it was served on was not cooked, bout broke a tooth. The red beans were plain as a can of beans over some rice. The tacos were nothing special. Again, no flavor. Cajun food is about character and flavor and this had neither. I would have been mad if I had to wait over 30 mins for the food that I got. On a good note, the beer was cold and the band was good. I will not come back here. Bayou on the Beach was much better.

1/7/26 This place was great! Amanda was our server and did a great job. We went for lunch and there were plenty of open seats. We had gumbo, soft shell crab, red beans and rice and the bread pudding. Everything was very good, came out hot and fresh! We will be back! 1/17/26 we went back and had various baskets, shrimp, oyster, catfish and grouper, they were all very good. The potato salad was very spicy and had a weird taste, we would not recommend it. We also got two pieces of Key Lime pie, it honestly was awful. It was like a a cheese cake with some warm lime gel on top. Seriously gagged. Everything else was great!

We went to Dat Cajun Place for Super Bowl Sunday and had a fantastic time! There are lots of TV screens to catch the game, including a huge one at the big U-shaped bar. We enjoyed the $0.50 wings special with both Dat Special Sauce and Dat Special Dry Rub—absolutely delicious. Drinks were very affordable. Our server, Michelle T., was fantastic; even though she was busy, she took great care of us. The bread pudding with rum sauce was enormous and decadent—we were in heaven. We would certainly visit again!

Came to Dat Cajun Place and let me tell you they did not disappoint! We grabbed seats at the bar, and our server Josh was a one-man show. He handled the entire bar like there were five of him, smooth, fast, and friendly! Now, let’s talk food! The cook, Daniel, served up some All-In Oysters that had me saying, “Oh my, my, my!” This was my first time trying oysters, and they hit the spot and the heat was ridiculously perfect. My friend went for the fried catfish po’boy with a side of gumbo (so good!), while I had the fried shrimp with their spicy sauce, rice, and spicy potato salad. Flavor on point. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, the customer service was top-tier. I can see exactly why the locals keep coming back. Let’s just say I’m going to bed happy, full, and compl
