Customer Reviews
This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I ordered garlic naan and clearly told them to make it well-done. I drove 30 minutes to pick it up and another 30 minutes home — a full hour of my time wasted. When I opened the container, I was furious. The naan wasn’t just undercooked — it was raw, sticky dough, completely unusable and absolutely disgusting. How a restaurant can hand this to a customer and think it’s acceptable is beyond me. So now I’m out the money for the food, the gas, and an hour of driving, all while starving because what they gave me wasn’t even edible. The level of carelessness is unbelievable. Darbar seriously needs to reevaluate their quality control, because serving raw dough to customers is not just unprofessional — it’s pathetic. I will never
I’ve been a loyal customer at Darbar for years, but my recent visit was extremely disappointing. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, and what I received was almost entirely chicken with barely any sauce. The dish looked dry and nothing like how it’s normally served. When I politely asked for a bit more sauce, the server refused and told me I would need to pay for an entirely new order. Instead of correcting what was clearly an issue with the dish, I was charged for two full chicken tikka masalas. This felt dismissive, unprofessional, and unfair—especially toward a regular customer. I left very disappointed. No restaurant should handle a simple request this poorly. I truly hope management addresses this, because this experience has made me reconsider returning.
I came here for the first time, and my experience was great! I ordered the samosa and a few other items. The staff was extremely friendly, and the food arrived very quickly. My partner loved his lamb curry dish, and my friend loved his biryani dish as well. The atmosphere was very laid-back. We arrived at Noon, and it was very easy to find seating. As far as Indian cuisine goes, this place is pretty authentic.
lamb vindaloo and mango lassi together from here is my favorite meal on earth. I’ve tried the competition so u don’t have to. GO HERE.
Really nice Indian food! Menu has lots of options and plenty of choices. Food was delicious. Biryani and paneer were really good. Roti wasn’t the best but it’s solid. Galub Jamun was the best I’ve ever had. Mango Lassi was good as well. Prices for the food is also extremely reasonable and I appreciate that I don’t feel ripped off by anything. Service was excellent and waiters were kind and attentive. Interior of restaurant looks very clean and well kept. Overall a great experience, and certainly above average for an Indian restaurant! Heavily recommend. Love to see a restaurant doing the right things in Uptown and thriving.
