I tried Dar Lbahja today and it was amazing. Highly recommend! The harira soup was on point honestly the best I’ve had compared to other Moroccan restaurants. All the appetizers were incredible. Every single one was so flavorful and satisfying I honestly feel like I could eat those appetizers every day if I could. Every dish we ordered was great and the food came out very fast. The service was amazing and you can really tell the chef knows what they’re doing. The prices are very reasonable too. It’s also a great place to go for iftar the setup was beautiful and everything felt very welcoming. Definitely a spot I would come back to!

Honestly, this place is such a gem. It doesn't even feel like a restaurant, it feels like you’re eating at a friend's house. Chef Touria is amazing and you can tell she puts so much love into the food!! We got the chicken bastilla, the lamb tajin with prunes, and the royal couscous, and everything was so fresh and authentic. We finished with the Jawhara dessert, which was the perfect move,super light, refreshing, and just really hit the spot. Plus, the staff are all so nice. If you want the real deal Moroccan food, go here!

I was so excited to try this hidden gem in Astoria and it didn’t disappoint. I felt like I was transported to Morocco in a homey way. The appetizers were deliciously savory from the Chicken Bastilla to the Moroccan cookies. Even the tea was hands down one of the best teas I’ve had at restaurants. The bread as well was fresh and soft paired with the Beef Tagine that was cooked with tender love. You really feel like you’re sitting down at a family friend’s house - Youssef our waiter was attentive and friendly. He made us feel right at home asking us if we had any questions and provided his recommendations.

If you're looking for authentic Moroccan cuisine, stop searching and head to Dar Elbahja in Astoria. This isn't just the best Moroccan restaurant in Queens--in my opinion, it's one of the best in all of New York City. The chef, Touria Lamtahaf is doing something truly special here. Warm hospitality, cozy atmosphere, and food that transports you straight to Morocco. Come hungry and save room for dessert and fresh mint Tea. Worth the trip to Astoria. 5 stars without hesitation.

We came to Dar Lbhaja for iftar, and from the very beginning the hospitality, service, and food were nothing short of impeccable. Truly a meal fit for kings and queens. We initially walked in without a reservation and were told there were no seats available. Before we even left, the host sent us off with dates and chebakia so we wouldn’t miss breaking our fast — an above-and-beyond gesture that speaks volumes. Ten minutes later, she called to let us know she had made room for us, and we rushed back, ready to begin our Moroccan food journey. My father was born and raised in Morocco, and I can confidently say this is some of the most authentic Moroccan food I’ve had in the States.
