You cannot cancel subscription online like other platforms and services. Instead you’re required to call them. It takes too long for an agent to connect over the phone and there’s no option for a callback and not lose your place in line. Once I connected with them over the phone on my third attempt to call on a different day, they have a tactic to offer you a lower rate for the subscription. They had 3 different rates as I continued to decline to subscribe. All in all, it took 10 minutes for the call with them to confirm to cancel that was not including the hold/ queue line.

I wanted to be sure to add my awful experience being subscribed to the Dallas Morning News to the volume of other reviews here. I'll briefly mention what went well and what I liked - the stories were good and informative (I subscribed for Cowboys news, yes have mercy on my soul), were frequent and well-researched. It was easy to sign up for the teaser deal of 6 months of digital news for $1. One nuisance - It was hard to make them stop emailing me about local Dallas events, other Dallas/Texas sports, etc. Eventually I got it down to one errant email per month but it took way too long to dial it in. And the super frustrating experience trying to cancel - When I was looking to cancel to avoid the high monthly cost for digital subscription I realized there's nowhere in my emails or online

My husband and I subscribed to the Sunday newspaper. Delivery is absolutely terrible and no one cares when you call to complain. This is not the first time! It’s extremely disappointing that we cannot receive the local paper regularly and that we have to look to a national paper for our subscription. Unbelievable!

Cancelling a subscription has been made excessively difficult. There is no way to do it through the website where you manage everything about your subscription. You have to call a number during business hours, and when you do, you have to decline 3 or 4 rounds of increasingly discounted offers before the support person submits the cancellation of your subscription. Bad business practice.
