The food at Daijobu is amazing! Some of the best tonkotsu and definitely the best in Raleigh that we’ve tried so far. The Scallop hand roll was amazing and so was the black sesame spinach tofu. Very unique in taste! We felt like service could have slightly been better with smiling faces and friendlier staff but it was ok
Dined at Daijobu for the first time 2 weeks ago after work with a friend. I frequently visit City Market Sushi so I wanted to try their sister restaurant. Tried the yellowtail, crab and salmon hand roll as well as the crispy rice with spicy tuna which was delicious! I did the Spicy Miso without the chicken because I’m pescatarian but the broth still had chicken in the broth which I was fine with because it was so delicious. I do wish they had a vegetarian pescatarian option but everything was flavorful!
Okay it's been a while since I have critique food so her we are at Daijobu. I will focus mostly on the main entrée got the Spicy Miso and Daijobu tonkotsu and besides not being able to get hot sake it would be all five stars. But besides that the food is amazing coming from a guy that has been all over the US eating ramen. The Dragon God sake was also good.
This place is casual, calm and inviting with a limited menu of fresh hand roll, sushi and ramen along with a menu of Japanese spirits. I had the crispy rice tuna starter and then moved on to a top tier hand roll perfectly complimented by a Haku vodka highball. Daijobu translates to “it’s fine”, I recommend it as much more than fine.
DIAJOBU is a small spot with good food overall. The starters are excellent and the ramen is very satisfying. The hand rolls are just average and not worth ordering compared to the other items. Service is fine, nothing special. Be aware the restaurant is quite small, and the kitchen closes early around 1:45 PM on Tuesdays.
