If you’re craving an authentic bowl of Beef Noodle Soup, this is it. The broth is infused with peppercorns, giving it an incredibly bold, numbing aroma that takes me straight back to those nostalgic Taiwanese military village (Juancun) flavors. It’s rich, punchy, and unlike any other broth in LA! I love that the Lu Wei (braised delicacies) is served as its own standalone dish. You can really taste the mastery of seasoning in every bite of the beef and tofu. To round it all out, you have to order the Radish Chicken Soup. It’s crystal clear and carries that perfect, natural sweetness from the daikon. It’s the ultimate palate cleanser after the tingly heat of the beef noodles. Perfectly balanced and so comforting!
**4.5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ Dai Ho Restaurant Alhambra: Nostalgic Noodles That Hit Like a Time Machine** Pushing through the door at **Dai Ho Restaurant** on Valley Blvd in Alhambra feels like a portal to my childhood Taipei nights—steamy windows, fluorescent hum, and that unmistakable aroma of braised beef and Sichuan spice wafting from the open kitchen 🚪🍜. This unpretentious Taiwanese powerhouse (Bib Gourmand since forever) packs a no-frills room with red lanterns and vinyl stools, where locals and food pilgrims elbow in for the real deal. It's chaotic in the best way: chopstick clacks, Mandarin banter, and zero pretense. The **dan dan noodles** are pure nostalgia porn—slippery wheat strands tossed in a fiery sesame-peanut sauce that's equal parts numbing mala heat and creamy umami, crowned with min
This place is a gem for its beef noodle soup, cold noodles, and the squid side dish. The food is simply amazing! However, the issue is the limited operating hours. The last time I visited at 2:30 PM, they were hesitant but eventually allowed me to dine. Unfortunately, during my recent visit at 2 PM, they were completely out of beef noodle soup and many other items, leading to an early closure. The friendly lady was nice to still let me order the dan dan noodle that had to be cooked and the cold noodles that were readily available. Ended buying a bunch of side dishes too to eat in the parking lot.
Everything is yummy. We love the noodles soup so much. The little dishes were tasty too, but pricey
The beef noodle soup is one of the best in town. The beef tripes is also very good but not worth the money for the given portion. Cash or Zelle only
