Customer Reviews
Such a beautiful renovation to the restaurant! Great music and amazing customer service!!! Sadly the food itself was not anywhere close to Eritrean or Ethiopian food. Injera is made of Ted, corn and wheat but didn’t event taste close to injera. The dishes lacked flavor. Lastly the presentation of the food was lacking as seen here in the photo. I ordered Alecha, gomen, tum tum and shiro.
Food was bland, especially the okra. Service took a long time and made mistakes (we didn't get any of the appetizers). We were accosted by a homeless person in the restaurant.
Every single person who breathes life into this restaurant infuse an abundance of love into every aspect. Every bite is packed with love, history, culture. You are made to feel that you're being welcomed into the family's home to enjoy a meal with your most precious friends and family members. I've NEVER experienced something so moving.
Welcoming atmosphere. awesome lighting, music 🎶 vibes were there, outside patio area a must. order everything was bombbb
So I have been to Dahlak several times and I can honestly say that not only have I never had a bad experience but each visit seemed to bring something new to a comfortable welcoming environment. My first time ever going to Dahlak I did so on a whim, I happened to be in the area and wanted to try something new and different. Unassuming from the exterior dahlek provides a welcome departure from the urban sprawl of city life. Upon entering the restaurant the interior decor is simple not over worked, but extremely effective at providing a warm welcoming feel that transports you out of city life and into an eclectic safe space of diversity and inclusion centered around food, friends and music. To the general public the menu may seem a bit confusing but the staff is very friendly knowledge
