Dahabi Yemeni Mediterranean Restaurant (المطعم الذهبي العربي)

This restaurant just popped up on my Instagram feed and we had to try it immediately and we’re so glad we did! We ran out of table room cause we had to try a little bit of everything, and everything was so so good! The baby lamb and hummus was probably my favorite and I will be coming back for it regularly, but the Kafta Kabob and Chicken Mandi were delicious—perfectly roasted and was so juicy and tender. The Adeni tea was perfect for this cold day. It’s similar to a hot chai, but I appreciated that it was not so sweet. In addition to the great food and atmosphere, the hospitality was outstanding! The family that owns this restaurant are very eager to share their culture and their foods, and we’re really excited to experience it and will be back!

My first Yemeni experience. Not too different from some Turkey/Greek, but definitely has a few unique items. The flat bread with hummus is a top must have. The flavor of that hummus is unmistakenly original and likely with generous pine nuts. We, four adults and 3 kids, ordered three portions. Probably could get more😁. BBQ platter is good, but probably not overly stand out This is a new establishment. Very homey feeling with many patrons clearly of the same culture validating it's authenticity. Very friendly staff, helped us order despite our lack of knowledge, added some wonderful lamb broth/soup which I never had before either. Finally, the price is very fair. I am impressed. Hope this place stays true to its values in the future!!!

We called ahead for a larger group, and the hosts were very accommodating and hospitable. We ordered 2 family platters for 8 adults, which was plenty for everyone, and several of us took home leftovers. We also had some salad, hummus, fresh Yemeni bread, and soup. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The Mandi rice was especially delicious- definitely the most flavorful type of rice that I've had from any Arab restaurant. Several people in our group had the hot tea and loved it. The soda fountain/water tap weren't working during our visit, so only bottles and cans were available. Only a minor inconvenience that didn't really affect our overall experience. I would definitely love to return again, and wish them great success.

What a fantastic restaurant. I had the lamb chops. Best I have ever had. Great portions and not expensive. It came with a delicious chicken soup and salad. The staff was excellent. Give this place a try. Its well worth it!

Went to dinner here with a friend and the experience was wonderful. This is a place that genuinely takes pride in the quality of their cuisine and wants you to enjoy every bite! Speaking of, if you're a hummus fiend like me, I cannot recommend the hummus as an appetizer enough! Though the bread comes separate, it is WORTH it because they make it fresh *that* day. (I was borderline gluttonous with how much I ate more of the pita and hummus than my own main dish.) They do offer your standard canned soft drinks for beverages but I must recommend the tea to anyone who will try it. It is smooth, aromatic, well spiced, and incredibly flavorful without overwhelming. It's more than what you'd expect in a black tea.
