I’m sorry but .. First time there and I ordered the hot meatball sandwich.. and .. wow , for a place that only does sandwiches let me tell you , not good .. the chips were stale and the bread was soggy and the cheese .. well I don’t think there was cheese .. see for yourself , maybe other sandwiches are good there but I would say stay away from that one !
This place has pretty good sandwiches at pretty good value. I wish they’d use something different for to-go containers, biodegradable containers or even just a paper sac. Don’t love the clear plastic waste. I’d even pay a bit more for that. But it’s a decent option for a skyway lunch.
I can't remember the last time I paid less than $8 for a filling meal. Dagwoods provides excellent sandwich options, both hot and cold. My ham deli on rye brings me back to sandwiches from childhood. Piled high with meat, sprouts, pickles, lettuce, onions and tomatoes. I only wish I had the room to eat the rest of my chips, but that would likely be dinner. The hot sandwiches looked really good, but I'm more of a cold-day/hot sandwich type or guy.
Ordered ex tomatoes on a sub and got none even though the cashier repeated the order when done. The place was understaffed yet took all order despite the wait. The bread was stale bread toasted. So a dry straw texture with no chew. Mean was over microwaved and cheese was tasteless. Sandwich was dry with minimal dressing and lettuce was partially wilted. Held to long after shredding? Why is this place rated better than JJ??? Its another subway quality place.
Ordered the pastrami dagwood with everything on it and it was delicious - I am definitely coming back again! Update: Came back, had the Special this time and it was just as good as the pastrami. Watched someone else try a Special for the first time and they immediately said, "This is the best sandwich I've ever had."
