Customer Reviews
Finally a local Korean gem in Corona! I still have yet had the opportunity to eat at the restaurant, but my husband picked up yuk gae jang for me to go. I’m currently eating it as I write this review and it is absolutely delicious. Perfectly spicy, good amount of beef and ingredients that usually come in this soup. According to my husband the employee there was very sweet. Looking forward to actually going to the restaurant soon!
The food is here is so good. I love the portions and how authentic it is. My one and only complaint would be the tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) is a little too sweet for my tastes and has too much soup. Everything else is delicious! The service is a hit and miss especially when they are busy. My last visit it took a while to take my order and they forgot to ask if we wanted any drinks. They were busy so I understand. Overall, if you want delicious, authentic Korean cooking then this is the place.
This restaurant changed their name to Top Sot Soon Tofu. Their menu has changed totally, not as good as before, lot less dish variety. Their banchan were disappointing, no kimchi, no fishcake, no jap chae anymore. They also no longer offer our ultimate favorite : Galbi combo which includes Soon dubu jjigae (Tofu stew soup). They now also silently include 10% tip in every receipt without our permission, hoping customers won't read the fine print and double tipping. Absolutely won't be back again.
We had a late lunch at Da Rae on Sunday afternoon. We ordered the Darae Bossam & Deonjang Jjigae and Grilled Mackerel Ssambap. They gave us a Buchujeon (Korean chive pancake) for free as an appetizer. All the vegetables for Ssambap were very fresh and everything was delicious! The lady who brought us food was very friendly and funny too. We'll definitely eat there again.
We come here to feast. The only Korean spot we’ve been between San Diego to LA that doesn’t disappoint in anything from the banchan to the main dish. Best bibimbop I’ve had at a restaurant. The Yukgaejang is absolutely delicious.
