D Loop Restrooms

The cleanliness of the Ocracoke Campground's bathrooms pleasantly impressed me. The amenities are very simple, however they were all cleaned up and maintained on a regular basis. There was always adequate toilet paper, and the restrooms were immaculate. It greatly improved the comfort of the entire camping experience, particularly after exhausting days of beach exploration. Being close to a sanitary restroom was a big bonus when I stayed close to the D loop.

Nice bathrooms, about what you would expect from a national park campground. Showers are cold water in a separate building just out front of the restrooms. There are enough restroom buildings, spaced out across the campground loops, so that none of them were crowded or over used during our stay. We visited during early April and the campground was less than half full so that made it even less busy and less dirty/used.
