First time trying this place. I had a wonderful experience here! The food was absolutely delicious, seasoned perfectly and full of flavor. So if you can’t handle spice / flavor do not try it and complain! Everything came out fresh and hot, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Generous portion for the cost it was well worth it. I’ll definitely be coming back. Happy to have an authentic Jamaican restaurant in the neighborhood.
Recommended by McDonough Moms group so I had to try it once I had an oxtail craving. Really great portion, was enough for two but I knew I wasn’t going to want to share lol. I got extra gravy on the side but barely used it because they hooked me up already. The flavor of the meat was phenomenal and just the right amount of spice. The plantains were fresh and sweet. I swallowed the spicy beef patty before we even sat down! The Mac and cheese could have been more cheesy but still good flavor. 10/10, I will definitely be eating here again!
The atmosphere was welcoming and clean. I ordered my food to go. It was a bit of a wait, but I didn't mind because my food was fresh and hot. I ordered the oxtail plate. The taste of the food was okay. I've had better. It was a little too spicy for me. My total was approximately $30 for the oxtail plate which was too much in my opinion, especially for the amount of food that was given.
I’ve been here a couple of times. The food was good. Most recently I’ve gotten an oxtail plate and it was too spicy. I literally pulled a large pepper out of my food. My collard greens were spicy as well. Idk if they changed cooks or not, but the food does not taste the same.
I've already been twice in just 4 days! Everything I've had so far has been fantastic - the curry goat, oxtails, yams, beef patties, greens, cornbread, plantains, and the mac and cheese, all were incredible. Can't wait to try the jerk chicken next!"
