Cuban Lodge

When ever we visit the NW New Mexico area we stay at The Cuban Lodge (the best in town). Great service from a very friendly and capable staff who have always been willing to assist in any way to ensure our stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Very affordable rates with comfortable and clean rooms. When ever we have need for assistance, directions etc, they have been more than willing to help. The owner is an enthusiastic wealth of knowledge concerning the area and we always enjoy our conversations with her. Also great restaurant across the street. I've returned to the Cuba and surrounding areas several times over the years and prefer to stay here. The Cuban Lodge is safe and quiet and Flora (Lodge owner) is very friendly and hospitable.

The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful. The room though! So old! I didn’t even want to sit on the bed because of the thought of bed bugs and I wasn’t willing to check. The towels had been cleaned but were stained. The bathroom had dead bugs in it. If not for a DESPERATE need I wouldn’t have stayed. I wish the room reflected the woman who worked there because she was very kind. They need a renovation badly.

The owner Flora is an absolute angel - she let me use their internet and take an important private conference call from her office rather than having to take it on the road as we drove through and she didn't charge me anything. It was such an act of kindness and generosity I will absolutely pay it forward. These are very good people that own this motel - highly recommend supporting them as small business owners xx

Let me start out by saying, this on not a Hampton Inn, it is an older roadside MOTEL. The owners are very nice people who will do much to accommodate a guest's needs. My room was VERY clean and comfortable. For an old roadside motel that is still operating I have no complaints and will stay here again when I am traveling through the area.

Stayed here 1 night while on a road trip. Our large family - 2 adults and 4 kids - needed 2 rooms. We paid the same for 2 rooms here as 1 room up the street! $65 a night got us 2 full beds and a hot shower in each room. No coffee pot but a brand new mini fridge and a microwave in each room. No wi-fi but we’re on vacation and wanted to unplug anyway. Just a window A/C unit but it worked and room was cool. The door to the bathroom didn’t quite close. This place is definitely dated but it was clean and affordable. Flora at the desk is a sweetheart and would give her our business again!
