Crystal City Public Library

I've lived in Crystal City for 6 years, and I absolutely love this library! The women who work there are very pleasant and nice. They are also very knowledgeable and helpful. The library itself is kind of small but still offers a lot. I love that's it's not as busy as some other libraries close by. It's a wonderful place to go hangout if you want peace and quiet, to enjoy a great book. Or if you need internet access, this library offers several computers for public use. This library also hosts several programs throughout the year. My children and I love going here, even though we already have books and computers at home.

I used to direct people to this library over the Festus library because all the ladies who worked here were so sweet and helpful, vs the Festus library where they act like you've ruined their day by coming in. That has changed now though, as Crystal City has hired a new middle-aged woman who is very rude and unpleasant. I see her there every time I go in now. I started going to Festus to avoid dealing with her, and now the ladies working at Festus are very kind. Maybe there was a worker swap?

I just love our sweet little library! My kids enjoy the little reading nook and for the size, they have quite the collection of books!

I love the library and being able to read 📖 the activities, the books, the librarians, everything is absolutely awesome!

I could go into a long story telling you why I'm never coming back, but you almost have to experience the rudeness and arrogance of the current librarian to really understand.
