Celebrated my birthday with an amazing evening. The Tapas were delicious along with the beverages. Chef Branden surprised me with an incredible dessert to top off the evening! Perfect !! Thank you!
The best local food in my opinion. Highly recommend the bone marrow- cooked to perfection and seasoned just enough so that you can still taste the rich flavor. The escargots, any of the steak tapas, grilled baguette, smoked cocktails, are exquisite. What I love theost is the atmosphere, definitely reminds me of my home country of France.
Despite my horrible mistake of not doing the extra research and showing up late Saturday evening without reservations, the CRUSH Wine Bar staff were gracious enough to fit us in the cozy and intimate bar area. The vibe was so fantastic that I knew immediately I needed to make reservations for my return that evening! Their curated cocktails are heavenly, each with their own beautiful production. The tapas came out perfectly timed, gorgeously plated and absolutely amazing! This place is a must go to every time we go to Winchester.
Brilliantly unique dish concepts. Minor executional tweaks would make it perfect. • Patatas braves with garlic aoli elevated by creamy aoli but could benefit from more crisp i.e. from beef fat frying. • Beef tataki with ponzu sauce was a standout, sweet savory balanced flavor, dreamily tender beef. • Duck confit blackberry gastrique had sugar-dusted walnuts. Melded well with gaminess of duck but could benefit from more balsamic vinegar acidity for balance. A bit syrupy sweet, pulled duck a bit dry at spots. Accompanying toasted cracker thins was a nice touch though bread would be better for soaking up sauce. • Demi baguette comes pre-oiled. • Toasted almond cream cake a true standout with amaretto milk mixture, marscarpone cream, tender vanilla cake, toasted almond and streusel topping. Beautiful place with delicious food and spectacular service. We were a group of 4 ladies. We tried the steak and crab, the duck confit pate, the duck cones brussels sprouts, mushrooms, limoncello flute, and chocolate truffles. Everything was incredible. The drinks were all fantastic as well - we tried some of the cocktails. Absolutely will be returning. Reservations highly recommended/required.
