Customer Reviews
I visited Crown Bakery on Georgia Ave with my son, and the customer service was truly the highlight of the experience. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful from the moment we walked in. You can tell they care about making guests feel comfortable. We ordered the curry chicken with rice and peas, plantains, and cabbage, along with a curry chicken roti. The roti skin and the plantains were the standouts of the meal—both were really good. The roti was soft and satisfying, and the plantains had that perfect sweetness. Overall, the food itself was yummy, but there are a lot of great Caribbean and Trini options around the city, so the flavors didn’t quite stand out as much as we hoped. That said, the atmosphere is nice and relaxed, and the customer service really makes a positive
Another neighborhood jam. The bake and shark was scrumptious - juicy, flavorful, filled with goodies. Best fish sandwich in DC. A must have - only available on the weekend. If you want to try all the goodies, show up early - several things were out when I arrived on a Saturday afternoon. The jerk chicken is perfectly spiced with good heat level. The pastries were crumbly and sweet (forgot to picture). The oxtail stew was tender. Can’t wait to go back! I followed the recommendation of a native Trinidadian.
I had a wonderful time at Crown Bakery and Restaurant on Georgia Avenue NW, the food was freshly cooked for bunch. The atmosphere was go and the service was amazing, black own and they were all friendly to talk too. If you’re looking for a good home cooked meal well Crown Bakery is the place. Bunch is only on Sunday from 11 to 4, and the prices was just $40 for all you can eat and drink. Great place to take girlfriends and family, just amazing places to eat. I gave them 5+ stars 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Went there yesterday for brunch and it truly felt like if I went to visit family in Trinidad. Mr Trevor and Ms Jennifer were warm and all the staff provided exceptional service and true caribbean hospitality. The food is good too. It's like having a true Trinidad Sunday meal. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. If you want a true Trinidad meal experience come here. Shut out also to Ms Diane that gave us a little history lesson about carnival since it was carnival Sunday. That was a great personal touch about this place
My dad was in town and we met there for brunch. The food was so good I was sad yo leave before I evn finished my plate. Without Grandmom, it's not often I get that much delicious, authentic Trini food all at once. Needless to say, we bought lots of baked goods to go and we will be back. Crown Bakery is a DC staple. I have memories of my uncles buying goods from them since they began.
