I LOVE EATING at Local Gems...and this cute restaurant---DID NOT DISSAPOINT! My family and I visited my brother who lives in Acton and he suggested we have dinner here. AMAZING!!! From our knowlegable waiter who was super fast to being welcomed by the kind owner himself. Such a sweet touch! The food was DELICIOUS! The ribs were failling off the bone and so flavorful. The mashed 'taters were yummy...honestly ALL the food was BOMBA! Thank you Croosroads Cafe. Till next time....keep cooking up a yummy storm.
I want to rate Crossroads higher because I’ve been there so many times. But after this last visit, I have to admit it’s a 3 star at best. We started with the shrimp scampi en baguette. The flavor of this dish is good, but the shrimp is a little rubbery. It’s still probably worth getting if you go. I got a French dip, and I should have read the menu more closely, because it doesn’t have cheese or onions or anything. It’s just beef on a bun. My wife’s baked haddock was downright bad. She couldn’t finish it. My son’s chicken finger basket was good. So if you order right the food might be a four but if you aren’t careful, it can be a two. The service was friendly but our waiter disappeared for long periods of time when we needed him. He didn’t bring us plates for our shared appetizer. And
I’ve never spent $17 for a Cosmo and $13 for rum and coke. These are Boston prices+! We just got apps and they were fine. Again, we felt those were overpriced. Lots of F bombs from behind the bar made it a bit uncomfortable! It’s not the place I remember from years ago.
We were there when they first opened. Quickly seated and our waited was instantly with us actually he was so attentive. 5 stars just for him alone. Food was great, too!! Nachos and the steak fajitas. Big portions!
Great atmosphere a real pillar of its time great food all 5 stars awesome staff make you feel like your having dinner at home with family..
