Man O Man.... a diamond in the rough! We have had steaks from ALL over. And they did PERFECT. I sure hope this is a consistent everyday deal for these guys. They could beat out several 5 star 🌟 restaurants. And that etouffee... OMG!
The restaurant has changed alot since initially opening. It's a bit disconcerting to develop favorites only to return later and the item is no longer on the menu. Seafood was decent. However the etoufee, while expensive, was taste wise top notch. The internal layout of tables is not the best. The dining room feels cramped. There are no booths. Service was friendly and attentive.
This place is awesome. It would beat any seafood restaurant we have down in South Texas. We got the crawfish and shrimp boil. It was awesome. My only complaint was that some shrimp were harder to peel. The boil had an awesome flavor. Just the right amount of spice. Had a decent kick to it. The crawfish etoufee was amazing as well! Decent size plate. We also tried the boudin balls. They were great as well. Service was great as well. Prices were very reasonable as well.
Food was good, but way overpriced for what was offered. Anything extra or slightly changed was an additional significant charge on top of what was already high priced, in my opinion, in comparison to other seafood restaurants in the area, and elsewhere.....especially for atmosphere and portion size. Will most likely not be returning to the restaurant. Did, however, enjoy Karaoke night at the rear of the restaurant after dinner though. It has 2 pool tables, a long bar. Pleasant atmosphere. Drink prices reasonable.
This may not be the best Cajun food, but it is the best I ever had. Jalapeño Boudin balls had just enough Jalapeño to taste but not overpower. The Prien plate was delicious, crawfish etueffe and 6 fried gulf shrimp. My wife had the chicken fried steak with green beens and collard greens. Not many places do collard greens well but they knocked it out of the park.
