If you’re looking for a "get your hands dirty" dining experience in VA, Crazy Crab on Fairfax Blvd is a staple for seafood lovers. It’s best known for being one of the rare spots in the area offering an All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) Cajun seafood boil. "Crazy Sauce" (the house mix). It’s the best way to get the full flavor profile.
Everything was excellent. The scallops, clams, oysters, and snow crab were top notch! The blue crab were a bit on the small side but you can eat all you want. We'll be back for sure..
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent visit to your restaurant. While the meal was fine, I was surprised to see an automatic 18% gratuity added to our bill for a party of only four. Usually, automatic tips are reserved for larger groups (6 or more) and should be clearly disclosed on the menu or by the server beforehand. We were given no such notice. Furthermore, I noticed a "Processing Fee" charged to the customer. It is quite unusual and disappointing to see a business pass its operational transaction costs directly onto the guest without prior mention. These hidden fees made what should have been a pleasant dining experience feel deceptive. I hope you reconsider these policies or, at the very least, ensure they are clearly communicated to future customers.
We had a great time. Food was good and quick. The snow crabs were a bit on the salty side but other than that it was good. As you can see my friend was enjoy every bit of it. We also enjoyed listening to full albums of bad bunny while we were there 🤣
Visited Crazy Crab once to try their AYCE seafood. It was a cool experience, but the garlic butter and most of the flavors were too salty for me. I ended up asking for plain boiled with no seasoning, which tasted much better. I love seafood, especially crabs, so I was disappointed they only have male crabs and not female crabs with roe. I had Manila clams, green mussels, and snow crab. Everything was fresh and good. Soft drinks are included, which is nice. Service was great, and the place and music were good too. The price is a bit high, so I probably won’t come back anytime soon, but it’s worth trying once.
