Crazy Cajun Bar & Grill

Outstanding first impression! We've been hoping for a suitable sub for other places that are more than an hour away. Crazy Cajun fits that bill very nicely! The Fried Alligator was excellent! I opted for the Shrimp Jambalaya, adding sausage ($5). OMG, I was able to eat about 20% of the plate! Rebecca gave great service, checking on us regularly. There were some waits, to be seated, then for additional service. We have found our new Cajun favorite!

Everything was perfect from the hostess to the final bill. We started with the boudin balls. Now I don't know if I can go back to regular boudin. We ordered a variety from the menu from the mushroom swiss burger, 1/2 lbs shrimp, and the shrimp po-boy. I had the jalapeno catfish. Of course I had to try a bite of them all. My favorite was the jalapeno catfish. Thick catfish fillet wonderfully battered and NOT overcooked. Most, tender and flavorful. Not too pricey. I am looking forward to going back and trying the crawfish and the Ribeye. BRB and I will bring friends.

Great new food place. We had the Jalapeno catch fish, Shrimp Po Boy, and Gator. The Gator is some of the best I have ever had. Price is good on all their plates. We will be coming back.

While visiting family in mineral wells we decided to try this place after reading some reviews. The menu was confusing, is this a BBQ restaurant or a Cajun restaurant. We came for Cajun flavors and we were disappointed. We got the boudin balls for an appetizer and we felt like it could have used some more spicy flavor. It tasted just like a fried rice ball. I got the jalapeño catfish which the jalapeño flavoring comes in the form of blended jalapeños in a wet sauce you pour over the fish. I opted not to make the fish soggy and the fish was very good. Sweet potatoes fries were good and the white cheddar Mac and cheese was more on par with velveeta box Mac and cheese with garnish. A few of the fried gator tails were chewy. Cheddar biscuits were very tender but needed a little more flavor. Hubby really liked the Cajun fried steak. I had the blackened chicken Alfredo and it was very good
