Review your returns thoroughly because communication is minimal and rather than asking questions for clarity they will just make assumptions on your returns. A few years back this occurred in which we caught a large error and requested an amended return. After the return was completed and Docusign forms resigned, we thought everything should be fine. Three months later in July I noticed the amended return still hadn't showed up in our IRS account, so I sent an email to ask when was it filed? There was no communication back to me. Terrible communication. Almost impossible to get in touch with Diana. I received a letter from the IRS stating that my taxes were filed incorrectly several months after having Diana file them. I had to pay someone else to redo my taxes because she filed my business as an s-corp when really my business is a sole-proprietorship. When I asked her why she filed it as an s-corp when I had never filled out any paperwork or requested such, she simply stated that “there’s a box you can check.” There’s a box you can check that says married too but if you’re not married, don’t check that box. Edited to add: as you can see by Diana’s defensive, nonsensical and unprofessional response, this is how she reacted any time the mistakes she made were questioned. This is a nightmare CPA. I am so sorry to all the friends and colleagues I referred to her. I am I the process of obtaining all the evidence I need to submit a massive complaint with the board of accountancy and sue her all the damages her malpractice has cost me. To start with she will not follow up on the work that she has submitted for me. She submitted two amendments for 2019 taxes without any follow up and now refuses to follow up with her work again. She has been paid for these services and she will not do her professional duty. She also charged me 3k to do my ERC credits and refused to submit them again when the IRS rejected the filing due to an “unauthorized signature.” She gave me the forms and told me to file them myself.
