Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I haven’t been to a Cracker Barrel in a long time. I don’t imagine I will return any time soon based on this visit. I remember that portions used to be huge and everything tasted fresh. I remember huge biscuits with apple butter. While the eggs were prepared ok (I asked for an extra egg so that gave a decent portion), the grilled chicken was basically frozen chicken cooked in a pan with I suspect garlic butter and salt. The potato casserole was a small portion and tasted like it was probably reheated from the day before. This was not what I was hoping for nor what it was what I remembered from Cracker Barrel visits of the past.

I ordered a breakfast using doordash. Upon delivery, I came across mold on the pancakes. I immediately called Cracker Barrel to let them know of the issue so that they check their kitchen and was met with a really negative attitude from Shawn over the phone. He told me “how can you have moldy pancakes if they are freshly made every morning?” I was not worried about refund or anything at the time, I simply wanted to inform of the issue as it is a health concern. He told me I needed to “go get a refund from doordash (which i did) and that he can’t do anything else.” While the food was a big issue, it’s the lack of accountability and rudeness that takes the cake for me. I will not visit or recommend this establishment in the future.

Good service, good food. They seated our party of 15 very quickly and staff were very attentive. The food was fresh and delicious.

There was a group of us (9) for my son military graduation we had about 35 min. wait which wasn't bad. Our server was good but the food could have been better.

Great server! Great food! CB's dumplings taste just like my Great-grandmothers....fried okra and of course the hashbrown casserole...always a good choice! I tried their Pink Lemonade Spritz and it was very light and refreshing.
