Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I went with a friend. I got a salad and the hash brown casserole. My lovely friend got chicken and dumplings. My salad was with a vinegar type dressing that evidently they added a lot of sugar too and was way to sweet. I only ate that tomatoes and the cucumber and gave up. The hash browns were good but a small order. My friend got a plate that was basically one big dumpling with really no liquid. She asked the girl to bring her some of the liquid and the girl brought her two small bowls that were dry. They did take the chicken and dumplings off the bill but it was nowhere up to their standards. I was disappointed. Neither one of us got much to eat. The tea was good

The most amazing thing about Cracker Barrel is the consistency across the board. No matter where I travel I find a way to make my way to Cracker Barrel . Shrimp and Grits, Biscuits and Gravy and a mountain of pancakes. Love this place.

Love the Friday night fish options. The fried cod fillets are delicious. Loved the seasoned rice, and the cinnamon roll skillet was amazing. Friendly service

I haven’t been to a CB in years. Hasn’t changed much. Pretty busy and lots of things to buy out front. Had a tasty Cajun shrimp dish and turnip greens. Yum! They had vinegar for my greens. Bread was slow coming out, waitress was apologetic. Enjoyed the friendly staff. And we could pay at the table by scanning the receipt….. so we bypassed the long line of old folks paying individually at the register.

We came here to try their campfire menu, I ordered the chicken and my husband get the beef. I love the beef, the price is about right and the ambience is nice and they always have lots of customers and other food options.
