Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Fine vittles, decent service, the ambiance was not that old country diners anymore. There are less an-tee-ques, and just doesn't look as rustic. Bit the food, although less of a serving, was excellent.

Hello, I’m having a hard time figuring out what score to give this place. It definitely isn’t a four, but it’s not bad enough to be a three. Anyways, I went here yesterday with some friends for breakfast and I ordered a caramel latte and cream cheese stuffed pancakes for myself. We also ordered biscuits. My friends selections are in the video below. While the pancakes were delicious, the caramel latte was not. It tasted like a coffee with cream and sugar with whipped cream on top and I only tasted the caramel in one sip. Just one. Is it true that this is the first time I’ve had a latte? Yes, but I know what caramel tastes like and I know what a plain coffee tastes like. Also, it came how it is in the picture, melted and spilled. Besides that, I got eggs and grits. Our waitress Heather was great Definitely recommend her super sweet but the food was absolutely horrible bacon was so cooked it was in pieces on the plate the scramble eggs were mushy and watery, hashbrowns were full of grease and the chicken fried steak when cut in the middle was just burnt breading, biscuits didnt taste fresh at all. I can say they actually cooked my eggs correctly but that is about it. Very disappointing!

Asked if we wanted cornbread or biscuits. We opted for cornbread, they brought biscuits and said out of cornbread. I ordered strawberry shortcake that had fresh strawberries on top (fresh strawberries is why I ordered it). They brought it out and said we were out of strawberries and gave a very small cup of syrup with it. Wouldn't I then be dropped to a regular pancake price? No apologies and just overall not what you expect from Cracker Barrel.

Here's to traveling and going to another Cracker Barrel! This one is located in Lumberton, North Carolina, off of I-95. This was our first time at this location. Went here on Saturday July 26th 2025 with my parents and aunt. We stopped here for breakfast during our road trip to South Carolina. Walked in, some members in my party used the restroom first. My mom and i walked right to the host stand, where we were immediately seated, and greeted by a smiling face too. Our server was Ashley, and she was so friendly and nice. She also did her job and checked on us constantly, as well as refilling the waters, and coffee. We all started with 4 coffees, and 4 waters. I got the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of impossible sauasage, my mom and aunt got the momma's breakfast, and my dad ordered
