Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

My recent visit to Cracker Barrel in Gulfport, MS, was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Our server, Nancy, greeted us with a warm smile and provided excellent service throughout our meal. Despite managing several tables, she never seemed overwhelmed and remained attentive, ensuring we never felt neglected. For our meal, we ordered the Maple Bacon Grilled Chicken, the Shrimp n’ Grits Skillet, and the Pot Roast. Everything was well-prepared and enjoyable, and the wait time for our food was reasonable. I also tried the new limited-time Strawberry Peach Lemonade, which was both refreshing and delicious. The checkout line was quite long, but since I wasn’t in a rush, I didn’t mind the wait. The food was delicious and I can't brag enough on the cola cake. Meatloaf was cooked just right. Great portion sizes. The muffin tops were a bit hard, but outside of that they was great. The waitress was awesome and attentive. Will definitely go back. All of the staff was welcoming. Score A.

Unfortunately this is the worst Cracker Barrel we’ve ever been too, and we’ve been to a lot. Although the restaurant was 10-15% full, the two hostesses seemed to have quite a bit of difficulty deciding where we were going to sit. Although tons of 4 chair tables were available and numerous parties of 2 were in them, we got put off to the side and our 2 person table was small. We picked up the menus we were handed and they had syrup on them. The table also had syrup all over it and we had to go wash our hands and get them to clean the table. The waitress was slow and never offered to refill our drinks although they sat empty. The food was the worst we had ever had, the country fried steak was hot and good but the potatoes were lukewarm as was the very small serving of macaroni and cheese. Th

Always luv going to Cracker Barrel! The blueberry pancakes are my favorite! Also Bacon or smoked sausage pairs well! They even brought some biscuits and gravy to keep us busy while waiting on it meal.

I ordered the Maple Bacon Grilled chicken which comes with 2 grilled chicken breasts topped with Maple Chipotle glaze, bacon, cheese, and green onions. It also has a drizzle of ranch. Yum! It comes with 2 sides and biscuits or cornbread. I chose biscuits because they are so hot and fresh with butter. I ordered 2 mashed potatoes and brown gravy because I knew I was going to make 2 meals out of this one and I love their mashed potatoes and gravy. The manager, Brad, went above and beyond to make sure my order was fresh and hot and correct. I also ordered the 5 dollars take home meal, which I usually gift to someone, and he was so generous he donated 4 of the take home meals paying for it himself so I can give the meals to some of my students.
