Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

It was my first time there, and the waiter was super helpful with her good recommendations. I was hoping for slightly bigger portions, but other than that, no complaints. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone wanting to soak up an authentic American vibe. They’ve got a gift shop too.

Our server was great and was very kind to me and my wife. The food was great for me my wife had the Carolina golden tenders was ok... A bit tangy. We noticed the table next to us order it too and asking what was the sauce and hers was sent back. We kept ours tho. Was not my wife's favorite but she didn't mind. My steak tips were good was sorta scampi sauce which was pleasant. Our rolls were ok. Not that bad too... Over all the food was def good just a tad off for our liking hence 4 stars on the food... I would love to try it again and when where in Mass by Springfield in Sept we will try a different menu item then... The cherry lemonade actually was neat and different but good I will say... Cracker Barrel isn't bad. I would maybe visit again in the future to try their dinner. I went for brunch after seeing a commercial for their french toast latte (I believe is what it was). It was amazing. I would go just to get that to go. We were seated right away, which was a good sign, we were expecting to have to wait. After ordering it took about 40 minutes to get our food, they were pretty busy, so understandable. However, during that time we didn't see our waitress at all, and my husband was waiting for a refill on his coffee for 20 of those minutes. Biscuits looked like someone took a bite out of it and then stepped on it. My hashbrown casserole was missing the bacon and tomato. When I asked our server for diced tomatoes, he said he had a lot of tables and that would take him too long to dice a tomato. I asked for a slice of tomato and I would dice it. Got push back again. Service and food was horrible!

Simply the best !! We always stop at this place on our drive home from NYC. It's a must, the little store is awesome.. you can find really cool things and some candy that we cant find back home. The restaurant is good, staff is friendly. I always love the food here and cant wait to go back. Wish we had some locations in Canada !!
