Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

The Supervisor and Server went above and beyond to make my Momma’s 88th and Friend’s 73rd Birthday a wonderful and memorable experience for us all. The Supervisor stayed and helped me with decorating and also let my Parents in the back door for their much needed convenience. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Never in the last 2 years of ordering food from here have I ever been so disappointed the fish had absolutely no flavor and the grilled fish had nothing but pepper on it to know I spent this much money on food this poor in quality from a restaurant that was once in my opinion amazing is at the least disheartening I WILL NOT BE RETURNING

Was very disappointed to learn that Southern Fried Chicken is now only served on Saturdays and Sundays! Had to settle for the Crispy fried boneless chicken breast. I reckon I might have to go back to KFC for chicken.

I'll preface this bad review by saying I've been to Cracker Barrel in various areas about a hundred times, and had no issue. Or at least not enough of an issue to remember it later in my life. And this is inconvenient timing due to the ongoing "rebranding" discussions. But we were up visiting some family where I grew up, and my 6-year old daughter decided that we must go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. My 6-year old loves cracker barrel due to the salt and pepper shakers and toys, and all the different sides we end up getting so she at least eats something. Its one of our big things. I came into the store with 3 gift cards raring to go. Its me, my gf, my mom, and my 6 year old. We sit down and order as usual. Food comes. And my face was just like O_o .... what is that? This restaurant is very popular, and a madhouse on Saturday, so be prepared for that. We decided to get takeout since it was too crowded and chaotic for us. The gift shop has so many cool and unique items, it is fun to look around while waiting. The food was good overall, though they left out one of my sides. We decided it wasn't worth the hassle to go back to get it though. Grilled chicken tenders were a bit dry and overcooked, but tasty. The broccoli casserole is wonderful. Breakfast is also good here. We tried the new Butter Pecan French toast bake and it was amazing. Overall a great place, but very crowded at peak times and days.
