Crab Du Jour UNCC Cajun Seafood & Bar

I was craving some good seafood boil and decided to try this place… had pretty good reviews, but not what I’m used to. Bland seasoning and not worth the price with so so portion size, not as tasty and fresh which I’m used to and a bit on the sweet side than spicy.

Great date! They had buy one get one half off drink specials. Food wasn’t salty. Respect to Nicole and Naike for holding it down day before Super Bowl for my wife and I - great job!

Food is good. Service was Ok. The server was nice but overwhelmed by the room. Thursday night is karaoke night, but they played song bingo. Would have preferred karaoke. Music was good until song bingo was over. Drinks was GREAT!!! Prices were GREAT!!!

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars and if the rating was just on the food, I absolutely would have. HOWEVER, the woman that waited on us might be in the wrong industry. And I noticed the other wait staff wasn’t in any more of a hurry or had anymore care than she did. I will say the food was really good. We ordered calamari that was fried perfectly, seafood pasta that my husband loved and the gumbo that was amazing. I would say, try this place but don’t expect too much when it comes to service.

They are not playing about the Cajun part. Think a second time before choosing hot. Service was great, shout out to Vee for being friendly, fast, well informed, and all around excellent. The atmosphere is very beach party. But it fits the theme so I will not rank it down.
