Coyoacan Mexican Restaurant - Valdosta

We had a Wednesday afternoon lunch and everything about the visit was positive. Service was prompt, our order was out quickly, our order was filled accurately and the food was hot. The biggest takeaway from our lunch was the portion size was really generous, to the point it was more than we could eat. We could (my wife and I) have easily have split a meal and each had enough.

This food is thrash and the service is thrash. I have eaten here on various occasions since I travel to Valdosta for work. I have tried different meals and they are always bad. There is taste to this food is blend. Last time I tried the chicken soup, I was like how can anyone screw that up. They did, there was no taste to the soup and when I brought that to the attention of the manager, all he said was I’ll let the owners know. Still had to pay for the soup that I did not eat. While checking out the waiter proceeded to tell me that the food is Tex Mex cater to white Americans and college students. Do they not know what real good food tasted like, was my question. He shrugged his shoulders. He then told me that if I really wanted some good Mexican food I was not going to find it in Valdosta

We read reviews before trying this place and while the reviews were accurate about the amount of food you get was good the taste of the food was less than appealing. We ended up asking for Togo plates so it wouldn't appear that we just did not like our food. We ordered steak and shrimp fajitas and we couldn't even eat the shrimp. The Salas was way too spicy and when we ask for mild the salsa that was brought was hot as in heated/cooked and was worse we could not eat it.

This was our first time eating here and we were pleasantly surprised! They give you really good portions with amazing flavor! Great Prices.. Service was friendly and consistent. We will definitely be going back again.

Everything was so good. The service was good. They were very polite. They let me sit outside with my dog.
