Country & Western Steakhouse

This was my first visit to this local steakhouse in Camden, Tennessee. First off, it was busy when I came here and while the service was pretty great and so was the food, this place is shockingly expensive. A "$15" entree was more like $25 because of the salad bar feature. Two entrees, two sodas and nothing else does not cost nearly $70 before tip. It's so pricy but it does not seem up front about it to me. If you can get past that, the entire place was pretty charming but was also quite bare bones. My food was fantastic and fresh. Perhaps one of the best chicken alfredo dishes I've had, even if the chicken was oddly...not soft? The salad bar was a nice added bonus and it was pretty good. Food was not good. Rice had dry crunchy bits. Fries were cold in the middle. Chicken was very dry. The hamburger steak was ordered medium well and was so dry you could barely chew it, like it had been sitting a while. The glass of Dr Pepper or Mr PiBB had 3 lipstick marks on it. Once we asked for a new glass, our waitress never came back to check on us. She was friendly and looked as if she was not only serving but cooking and running food also. Hardworking and friendly staff. The staff were young and yet they were trying hard and made me think that perhaps with some more guidance and cooking education they can do well. Such a shame for a high priced meal and beautiful atmosphere.

10/10 Sylvia!!! We were driving through town on a road trip and decided to stop here. I am so glad we did. The food portions were HUGE and then had a salad bar too!. + 2 for 1 cocktails on fridays. Leaving so full and definitely happy with the excellent service

Beautiful rustic interior. Clean, friendly, resturant. Food was delicious. Has outside dinning. Would definitely eat there again. Update 7/29/25 Went here for lunch, after my eye examination. I had eye drops that ran down my face into my beard and finally into my mouth. (Do not recommend eye drops in mouth). Waitress was fantastic. Food was good. They had a couple large groups at the time I was there. Food came out fairly quickly. The person seated at next table seemed upset their food had not arrived quickly. (Not fast food).

$17 for a 2 piece catfish meal. The THINNEST pieces Of fish, more bread than there is meat. Hush puppies taste like nothing, unsalted fries and everything’s unseasoned. VERY dissatisfied and disappointed. Lowest quality catfish I’ve ever had. If there were a half star review, I’d choose that. Find better cooks. Or fish.
